General Purpose (GP) Boom is a versatile curtain style boom designed to encompass a wide range of duties. GP Boom uses cylindrical, rolled-foam floats to give a higher buoyancy to weight ratio than fence type booms to provide better wave response and wind resistance, making it suitable for deployment in more demanding conditions. [ Continues ]

GP Boom is manufactured using RF welding technology. Versatech only uses the best quality materials available, and manufactures under strict quality control conditions and procedures.

The rolled-foam floatation design provides a fail-safe feature; in the event the floatation chamber fabric be torn during use, the closed-cell foam logs continue to maintain freeboard. The GP Boom is available in a wide variety of sizes with a number of options to best suit the customer’s needs.
